Whittier

We are currently looking for an IT Support Technician to provide end user desktop
and infrastructure systems support to client law firms throughout California. Responsible
for a variety of application, hardware and networking support, as well as general
IT operations duties. This is a medium-level position, and requires at least 3 years
of professional IT support experience in a corporate Windows domain environment.
Demonstrated technical troubleshooting abilities are a must. The ideal candidate
is a highly motivated individual with a broad range of technical experience and
strong sense of ownership. This is a highly visible position and requires excellent
communication and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Install various applications, configure workstations, and respond to user support
requests.
- Troubleshoot technical issues with company software and productivity applications,
including case management, rating software, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Exchange,
Word Perfect and select applications.
- Support remote access and applications provided by business partners.
- Provide TCP/IP network and VPN support across various end user configurations.
- Set up new user and email accounts in multiple platforms.
- Perform server and network administration duties and resolve end user support issues.
- Configure and install various versions of Windows Professional/Server on various
workstations, laptops and servers.
- Perform IT evaluations and provide recommendations that will improve our clients’
computer and network performance and increase in office productivity.
- Manage proposal creation for the purchasing of hardware/software, inventory management
and software licensing.
- Work with vendors and suppliers.
- Perform other duties related to the operations of the IT department, as required.
- Utilize malware, spyware and virus protection applications to identify infected
systems and combat these issues.
Required Experience
- 3-5 years desktop support experience in a vendor or corporate environment.
- 3-5 years experience supporting Windows clients and Windows Server 2003/2008 in
a domain environment.
- 3-5 years experience supporting users of Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7, Microsoft
Office Suite, WordPerfect and select applications.
- Mac OS and iOS knowledge is a plus.
- Experience with any case management or contact management applications is a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Windows, wireless networking and LAN infrastructure.
- Demonstrated TCP/IP knowledge.
- Troubleshooting abilities a must.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
- Must possess exceptional analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Highly motivated individual with strong sense of ownership. Will be working independently
90 percent of the time.
- Eager to learn new technologies.
- Exceptional written and verbal skills.
- Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical client staff.
- Ability to work effectively and communicate with the Sales Department.
- Must be willing to travel locally on a daily basis.
- Must be a team player.
- Must maintain current auto insurance with $100,000/$300,000 policy limits.
